DISNEY NEWS: DISNEY CHARACTERS GET INTO STAR WARS!

Next up (and my personal favorite) is the Disney Star Wars Action Figure Series. This is the fourth series of Disney Characters “dressed as” Star Wars Characters. These action figures are fully articulated and come with detailed accessories that would impress the most gregarious Wookiee.

The collection includes:

* Mickey Mouse as Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight. Mickey comes packaged with a translucent green lightsaber
* Minnie Mouse as Princess Leia in Boushh disguise. Minnie is equipped with an accessory helmet, staff, and thermal detonator (a must when sneaking into Jabba the Hutt’s Palace)
* Donald Duck as Han Solo trapped in Carbonite. Donald is also packed with an accessory staff and carbonite block
* Goofy as C-3PO
* Bad Pete as Boba Fett. Bad Pete comes with an accessory helmet, jet pack and blaster

With the excitement of Star Wars Weekends ramping up, we wanted to share with you the newest Disney Star Wars Racers and Disney Star Wars Action Figures that are coming out later this spring at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. We’re excited to release the fourth collection of the popular Disney Star Wars Racers Series. Each die-cast Racer has been inspired by one of the great Star Wars Characters. The fourth series feature Yoda, Clone Trooper, Battle Droid, and Jedi Master Plo Koon.

Each vehicle is pack individually and retails for $5.95. Disney Star Wars Racers will release in June at Walt Disney World and at Disneyland Resorts.

'Walking Dead' comic book headed to AMC network



AMC network says it's bringing the popular "Walking Dead" comic book to TV as a live-action series set to debut in October.

Created by Robert Kirkman, "The Walking Dead" explores the aftermath of a world overrun by zombies. It follows a group of human survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who journey in search of a safe home.

AMC announced Monday that the series will begin filming in Atlanta in June. It was initially scheduled for six episodes.

Only Jon Bernthal has been announced for the cast. Among those behind the camera is executive producer Gale Anne Hurd, whose feature credits include "The Terminator," ''Aliens" and "Armageddon."

Retailers Offer Mezco Kick-Ass Figures For Pre-Order!


“Kick-Ass”, the action-adventure movie from Lionsgate and Matthew Vaughn, is a twisted high-octane adventure that redefines the “super hero” genre, based on the popular comic by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.




Kick-Ass, a.k.a. Dave Lizewski is an average teenager and avid comic-book fan, who decides to become a real-life superhero, Kick-Ass! With no actual super powers, his life is forever changed as he encounters the violent, real-crime world of common thugs, drug lords and underworld mobsters.

Kick-Ass 1/12 scale 6” action figure that captures the essence of “Kick-Ass” armed with two billy-clubs, and wearing signature suit and mask.

Hit-Girl, a.k.a. Mindy Mc Cready is an 11 year-old pig-tailing wearing waif with the fighting skills of a ninja. This little super hero proves she has some real kick- ass skills.

Hasbro "Rolls Out" TRANSFORMERS Hall of Fame
TRANSFORMERS Fans Will Participate in Selecting One Robot for the Class of 2010



After more than 25 years of "MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE" action, Hasbro /quotes/comstock/13*!has/quotes/nls/has (HAS 38.88, +0.47, +1.22%) is announcing the TRANSFORMERS Hall of Fame that will honor both "ROBOTS IN DISGUISE" and those influential in creating and building this iconic entertainment brand.

Heroic AUTOBOTS OPTIMUS PRIME and BUMBLEBEE, as well as evil DECEPTICONS MEGATRON and STARSCREAM, will be the first robots honored with admission as chosen by Hasbro's TRANSFORMERS Hall of Fame internal panel of judges. TRANSFORMERS fans around the world will determine a fifth robot to join the inaugural class via voting on the Transformers.com website starting on Monday, May 10, 2010. The winning robot will be revealed Saturday night, June 26, 2010 in Orlando, FL at the annual TRANSFORMERS convention known as "BotCon" when the entire Class of 2010 will be officially inducted.
