WIZKIDS GAME NEWS: CRISIS IS SOLD OUT!

WIZKIDS ANNOUNCES DC HEROCLIX: CRISIS

NORTH AMERICAN SELLOUT

Due to overwhelming DC HeroClix®: Crisis preorder sales and “Buy it by the Brick” orders, Diamond Comic Distributors and Alliance Game Distributors — WizKids’ exclusive distributors for HeroClix products into independent hobby stores — has sold out of its entire Crisis inventory.

“The spread of Crisis sales across a wide number of comic and game retailers shows impressive growth in HeroClix,” said David Cooke, Alliance Game Distributors executive vice president. “Given the mix of game stores and comic shops that supported this product, Crisis seems to be a home run.”

“We are pleased and surprised with the outstanding results of the sale of Crisis,” said Joe Hauck, WizKids® executive vice president. “Diamond and Alliance sold in two weeks what historically would have sold over the course of four months. The tie-ins between this HeroClix set and the rich DC Comics storylines created a product that really resonates with our total customer base.”

With all product created for Diamond Comic Distributors and Alliance Game Distributors to sell into the U.S. and Canada sold, a small amount that was in Europe is now being shipped to the U.S. Once these incoming Boosters are sold, Crisis will be sold out worldwide.

WizKids believes that the “Buy it by the Brick” program helped the quick sellout of Crisis. The Crisis “Buy it by the Brick” exclusive was the numbered, Limited Edition WORLD’S FINEST figure, which featured the combined powers of both BATMAN and SUPERMAN. This figure was limited to 5,000 numbered units.
